Judy is Vice President and National Board Director of the Australia-Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), a role she has held since March 2021. Judy has more than 20 years’ experience working in and around governments across Australia. She brings her executive experience working in and engaging with businesses and government to build stronger relationships between Australia and Indonesia. She is passionate about creating opportunities for both countries to deepen their business. Judy brings her skills in strategy and governance to help drive the AIBC to new levels of member engagement and strategic partnership with Indonesia.
Clare Duffield is the Assistant Secretary, Indonesia Branch, at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She is responsible for policy development and implementation across the political, economic and development relationship with Indonesia, and managing the secretariat of the Australia-Indonesia Institute.
Ms Duffield’s previous roles include advancing Australia’s agriculture trade relationships in Southeast and South Asia with the Department of Agriculture, and work to counter people smuggling and human trafficking, including through Australia’s role in the Bali Process in DFAT’s People Smuggling Taskforce.
Ms Duffield has served overseas as Head of the Political and Public Affairs Section at the Australian Embassy in Manila, as an advisor on agricultural trade at the Australian Embassy Jakarta, Executive Officer to the head of AusAID in Indonesia, and as Second Secretary in New Delhi. Ms Duffield was also seconded to the Indonesian Foreign Ministry to support Indonesia’s APEC host year in 2013.
Budy P. Resosudarmo is the Head of the ANU Indonesia Project. He is a developmental and environmental economist working on the economy-wide impact of economic and environmental policies on local economies, household incomes, human development and the environment, and analysing the political economy of environmental policies and natural resource utilisation. He implements, among others, impact evaluation, spatial and inter-regional modelling techniques. He currently collaborates with several Indonesian research institutes, particularly in Eastern Indonesia. He also focuses on issues of energy transformation and integration, disaster management and insurances, and development in lagging regions.
Budy is a Fellow of the Regional Science Association International, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA), a member of the Advisory Committee of the Economy and Environment Institute-Indonesia (EEI-Indonesia), and an ex-officio member of the Council of the Pacific Regional Science Conference Organizer.
