In recent years, Costa Rica has been portrayed by global media as resembling the hummingbird: diminutive, acrobatic, but with a unique ability to sustain long term hovering, while being ready to change direction almost instantly. Come along to hear the Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica, HE Ambassador Armando Vargas-Araya explain Costa Rica's worldview and launch a newly published book on Australian perspectives on the bicentenary of Costa Rica entitled, 'Pura Vida!' (Pure Life!).
The ACT Branch are excited to be hosting HE Ambassador Armando Vargas-Araya. The Embassy of Costa Rica in Canberra is kindly providing pre-presentation Costa Rican food delicacies and coffee! All attendees are welcome to enjoy the Costa Rican hospitality!
