Are you an early-career professional or a university student looking to expand your career prospects? Unsure of how to write a great CV? Or maybe interviews make you nervous?
The AIIA ACT Branch is hosting an interactive Careers Workshop - in collaboration with Girls Run the World (GRTW) Canberra - where you can learn how to improve on pre-existing skills and develop your career as a young person in the international affairs field.
In this workshop, you will be taught how to refine and tailor your CV and cover letter, build on current strengths and be introduced to new interview techniques, and, if you have a LinkedIn and do not know how to use it to its full potential, learn how to transform your profile and network online like a pro.
This workshop will be presented by Nancy Schneider, the national operations manager for the AIIA and the editor-in-chief of Australian Outlook, the online publication of the AIIA.
The workshop will feature two seminars:
(If you have participated in the GRTW program in the past 2 years OR are an active member of the AIIA ACT Branch, you can attend this workshop for free! Other attendees must purchase an entry ticket for $10 to participate in the workshop.)
All students and early-career professionals are welcome. This is strictly an in-person event and will not be streamed online.
Nibbles and tea and coffee will be provided for participants during the break.
