The Commonwealth is one of the world's enduring institutions. While its roots go back to the British Empire, today any country can join the modern Commonwealth – the last two to join were Gabon and Togo in 2022. But the world is changing more quickly than at any time in the last seventy years. How is the Commonwealth responding? In her presentation, the Secretary-General will discuss the Commonwealth's history, current activities and strengths, and future trajectory.
The ACT Branch is delighted to be co-hosting this event with the Royal Commonwealth Society ACT. Please note the event will be subject to the Chatham House Rule and will be for in-person participation only. We welcome all attendees to join us for nibbles and drinks prior to the presentation!
