The ACT Branch of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA ACT), in conjunction with the ANU Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, is hosting an interactive discussion on international careers for young professionals on Monday, 15 May 2023. We are inviting participation from undergraduate and graduate students at the ANU, University of Canberra and UNSW Canberra; alumni of DFAT's

New Colombo Plan; and young professional members of AIIA (ACT Branch).

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from a select panel of professionals with substantial global work experience about the skills, knowledge and attributes that need to be cultivated for successful international careers. The main take away from the discussion will be an understanding about the world of work beyond Australia's shores and how to be prepared for career opportunities overseas.

The panel discussion will take place at Lecture Theatre 1 at the Hedley Bull Building, ANU, commencing at 5.30 pm. Panel members will include representatives from government (DFAT), private sector (KPMG, Equity Economics), think tanks (Asialink), academia (UNSW, Canberra) and international NGOs (ICRC). There will be plenty of time for participants to ask questions of panellists and networking over drinks and finger food will follow the discussion.

Registration for this event is free but we ask that guests register to confirm their attendance.
