North Korea is viewed by Western countries as having a repressive political system, perpetrating human rights abuses against its population, irrationally pursuing a strategic nuclear weapons capability, exhibiting belligerent behaviour towards its neighbours, and deliberately isolating itself from the rest of the world. As Julius Sumner Miller would have said: 'why is it so?' How valid are these perceptions, and does North Korea pose a military threat to Australia?

Please join the ACT Branch as we welcome back Professor Clive Williams MG to present to our members and the broader international affairs community. This event is strictly in-person, and Chatham House Rule will apply for all attendees. All attendees are welcome to join us for drinks and nibbles prior to the event!
